Practice

The College of Nursing is committed to ensuring every New Mexican has access to quality health care by advanced practice nurses. We strive to implement this vision through a twofold mission.

  • Educate and model advanced practice to increase the workforce to aid the state in reducing health disparities through evidence based discovery and application.
  • Implement change and continue to improve access to and delivery of quality advanced practice nursing care for individuals, communities, and health systems through innovative practice and leadership approaches.

By establishing a diverse array of nurse managed clinics and faculty practices, as well as clinical education partnerships, we not only pave the way for meeting the healthcare needs of New Mexicans, but provide unique opportunities for teaching, learning, and research.
