Refund Policies

It is the student’s responsibility to officially drop or withdraw from UNM by the published deadline dates to insure proper credit of tuition and fees are received. A course is not dropped by not attending.

A refund of financial aid is processed only when the Financial Aid office has disbursed financial aid funds to a student’s account and only after the account balance has been paid in full.

The exact dates for the current semester are available on the website of the Office of the Registrar, under the link, "Deadline Dates." Students are encouraged to read the University’s agreement on Financial Responsibility. For further information, students should contact the UNM Health Sciences Campus Registrar, Todd Hynson (thynson@salud.unm.edu).
