Academic Programs: Overview

The College of Nursing is a fully accredited component of the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center. The College of Nursing constitutes a vital resource for the state of New Mexico providing nursing education since 1955.

The College of Nursing offers baccalaureate (BSN) and RN to BSN undergraduate programs, Master's (MSN) programs in nursing education and advanced practice nursing concentrations as well as the Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing (PhD) and a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). The College of Nursing is a leader in online education making the PhD, DNP, RN-BSN & Master's concentration in nursing education accessible to local and rural students via the Internet. These and other innovative programs complement the College's traditional programs to form a curriculum that is accessible, responsive, and pertinent to the changing environment in health care and the lives of students.
