Doctor of Nursing Practice

The CON Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) is a professional nursing clinical doctorate. This program provides a curriculum that leads to a DNP for students who enter the program as master's-prepared advanced practice registered nurses or nurse administrators/executives. The DNP, an alternative to the traditional research-focused PhD in nursing, has an emphasis on practice and is considered the terminal degree for advanced nursing practice.

The application period for the CON Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degrees for the Nurse Executive Organizational Leadership (NEOL) and Clinical Concentrations 2017 summer cohorts has been extended to February 1st, 2017. Please visit our website at, contact Jeri Belsher, Academic Advisment Specialist (, Dr. P.J. Woods, DNP NEOL Program Director (, or Dr. Joanne Haeffele, DNP Clinical Program Director ( for further information.
