Two Faculty Members Retire from the College

January 4, 2016

College of Nursing faculty members, Marie Lobo, PhD, RN, and Geoff Shuster, DNSc, RN, retired at the end of 2015. Dr. Lobo joined the College in 2003 as Professor and Chair of the Doctoral Committee. Throughout her 12-year tenure, she taught, performed research, and served in administration. Her most rewarding achievement was building the PhD program, which has produced outstanding and accomplished graduates. Dr. Lobo has plans to travel, finish several manuscripts, and work part time with College of Nursing doctoral students.

Dr. Shuster, Associate Professor, began working at the College in 1991. His 24-year career has spanned teaching across all programs, performing research, and providing clinical services. He was one of the first faculty members to teach online at the College. Dr. Shuster has plans to travel with his wife, including taking a Road Scholar adventure. He, too, will be working with doctoral nursing students at the College on a part-time basis. We are very grateful for all the contributions of Drs. Lobo and Shuster throughout their time at the College.
