Dr. Parshall Inducted as a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing

Dr. ParshallAssociate Professor Mark Parshall, PhD, RN, was inducted as a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing at the Academy’s 2014 annual meeting in October. Induction into the Academy is considered one of the highest honors in the nursing profession, and Dr. Parshall was selected because of his exceptional contributions to nursing and health care. His clinical expertise is in adult health, acute and critical care, and emergency nursing, and his research has focused on dyspnea, exacerbations of chronic cardiopulmonary diseases, and instrument development. His research has been funded by the National Institute of Nursing Research, and his work has been widely published. The induction ceremony took place on October 18 in Washington, DC. Congratulations, Dr. Parshall!
