CCNE Accreditation Call for Comments

December 19, 2011

The University of New Mexico, College of Nursing is seeking comments from the public regarding the RN-BSN, BSN, and MSN academic programs. The College of Nursing’s academic programs are preparing to undergo an accreditation by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).  CCNE is an autonomous accrediting agency, recognized to ensure the quality and integrity of baccalaureate, graduate, and residency programs in nursing through its evaluation process.

The College of Nursing will undergo a site visit on April 2-4, 2012 in which CCNE will evaluate the academic program’s ability to meet CCNE Standards for Accreditation of Baccalaureate and Graduate Degree Nursing Programs. 

This is an open invitation to provide written and signed comments concerning the RN-BSN, BSN, and MSN Programs.  CCNE will be accepting comments until March 3, 2012 Comments will be shared with the CCNE Evaluation team prior to the April site visit.  These comments will not be shared with College of Nursing faculty or staff.
