1 RN to BSN Degree Completion Option students beginning May 2016 or later pay a tuition rate of $331.68 per credit hour regardless of residency for the 24 required Nursing credits and 6 upper division nursing elective credits (course number 300-499) . RN to BSN Degree Completion Option students who enroll in select UNM online general education courses outside of the Nursing credits in order to complete other degree requirements will be charged $321.25 per credit hour regardless of residency status.  Students who enroll in other UNM courses will be charged the standard College of Nursing tuition rate based on their residency status.  

2 Nonresident Doctoral students at the College of Nursing are charged the in-state tuition rate during the summer term. 

- Per federal financial aid guidelines, undergraduate students must register for a minimum of six (6) credits and graduate students must register for a minimum of five (5) credits per term in order to be eligible for student loans.  Nursing students are eligible for loans in the summer.

Refund Policies

  • It is the student’s responsibility to officially drop or withdraw from UNM by the published deadline dates to insure proper credit of tuition and fees are received.
  • A course is not dropped by not attending.
  • A refund of financial aid is processed only when the Financial Aid office has disbursed financial aid funds to a student’s account and only after the account balance has been paid in full.
  • The exact dates for the current semester are available on the website of the Office of the Registrar, under the link, "Deadline Dates."
