Dr. Chung is an Assistant Professor at the University of New Mexico College of Nursing. Her program of research is focused on supporting healthy independent living for community-dwelling older adults, with particular interests in developing, applying, and evaluating technology applications, including novel sensors and emerging technologies. 

Dr. Chung received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2001 and Master of Science in Nursing in 2006 from Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea, and a Master of Science in Clinical Informatics and Patient-Centered Technologies in 2013 and PhD in 2014 from the University of Washington, Seattle. She is an active member of the Gerontology Society of America and Sigma Theta Tau.
